Neck Threadlift

A neck thread lift is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that employs the insertion of absorbable sutures (threads) into the subdermal layer of the skin of the neck to achieve a lifting and tightening effect. This technique is designed to counteract the effects of skin laxity and improve the contour of the neck and jawline.

Benefits:

Reduced Recovery Time:

Unlike traditional neck lift surgery, which involves larger incisions and longer recovery periods, a neck thread lift requires only small insertion points, leading to quicker recovery.

Instant Lifting Effect:

Patients often notice an immediate improvement in skin tightness and contour after the procedure, providing instant gratification.

Collagen Stimulation:

The threads stimulate the body’s natural collagen production, enhancing skin elasticity and texture over time. Results can last from 6 months to 2 years, depending on individual factors.

Subtle Enhancements:

The procedure can achieve natural-looking results that enhance the jawline and neck contours without the “tight” appearance sometimes associated with surgical lifts.

Efficient Treatment:

The procedure typically takes 30 to 60 minutes, making it easy to fit into a busy schedule.

Ideal for Early Signs of Aging:

It provides a viable option for individuals who may not yet require or desire full surgical intervention but want to address early signs of aging.

How does it work?

The threads are typically made from biocompatible materials such as polydioxanone (PDO), poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), or polycaprolactone acid (PCL), which are used in surgical sutures. The threads are strategically inserted into the dermis or subcutaneous tissue using a fine cannula or needle. They provide immediate support to the skin and induce a biological response. The presence of threads stimulates fibroblast activity, promoting neocollagenesis (new collagen formation) over time, which further enhances skin texture and elasticity.

Ideal for those with early signs of sagging skin or dermatochalasis (excess skin) on the neck. Candidates should have sufficient skin elasticity for effective lifting to improve skin laxity. Neck thread lift does not provide the same results as a surgical neck lift.

Immediate Results: Patients often experience immediate lifting effects due to the mechanical support of the threads.

Long-Term Effects: The results improve over several months as collagen remodeling occurs, with effects lasting between 6 months to 2 years depending on factors such as thread type, individual skin quality, and age.
