1064nm Pico Laser

1064nm Pico Laser employs advanced picosecond laser technology to provide an efficient and effective solution for tattoo removal. The key to its success lies in its innovative approach to targeting and breaking down tattoo ink. 1064nm Pico Laser offers several advantages over Q-switched Nd:YAG  lasers in tattoo removal, including its ultra-short picosecond pulse duration, enhanced ink fragmentation, versatility in treating various ink colors, reduced discomfort, and faster treatment efficiency. These advancements contribute to more effective and efficient tattoo removal, often requiring fewer sessions and delivering better overall results.

Benefits:

1. Versatility in Ink Colors

1064nm Pico Laser is designed to address a wide range of tattoo ink colors, including challenging shades such as green, blue, and red. The laser’s versatility is due to its ability to target different wavelengths of light that correspond to various ink pigments.

2. Reduced Treatment Time

Due to the efficiency of picosecond pulses, 1064nm Pico Laser often requires fewer treatment sessions compared to traditional tattoo removal lasers. The laser’s ability to break down ink particles more effectively translates into faster overall treatment and quicker results. Fewer sessions mean reduced overall treatment time and fewer visits for patients, enhancing convenience and improving the patient experience.

3. Minimal Discomfort and Downtime

The picosecond technology reduces the amount of heat generated during the procedure, which helps in minimizing discomfort. Many patients find 1064nm Pico Laser treatments to be more comfortable compared to older laser technologies.

4. Precision and Safety

1064nm Pico Laser incorporates sophisticated safety mechanisms to ensure accurate targeting and effective treatment. This includes features that protect the surrounding skin and optimize the laser’s performance.

How does it work?

1. Picosecond Pulse Duration

1064nm Pico Laser uses picosecond laser pulses, which are incredibly brief, lasting only a trillionth of a second. This ultra-short pulse duration allows for high-energy delivery in very short bursts with minimal heat, reducing the risk of thermal damage to the surrounding skin. This precision helps in preserving skin integrity and reducing potential side effects.

2. Effective Ink Fragmentation

The high-energy pulses from PicoHi are absorbed by the tattoo ink particles, causing them to break down into much smaller fragments. This process is known as “photoacoustic effect.” The smaller ink fragments are more easily absorbed and eliminated by the body’s lymphatic system. This enhanced breakdown and clearance improve the effectiveness of the tattoo removal process.

Individuals with unwanted tattoos are suitable candidates for 1064nm Pico Laser to remove or significantly lighten existing tattoos for cosmetic, personal, or professional reasons. 1064nm Pico Laser can significantly fade or remove tattoos, but complete removal may not be possible for all tattoos, especially those with very dense or deep ink.

On average, patients may require between 4 to 8 sessions, 4 weeks apart to achieve significant fading or removal of the tattoo. However, some tattoos may be significantly improved in as few as 3 sessions, while others might require more than 8 sessions. Progress is typically evaluated after each session, and adjustments to the treatment plan can be made based on how the tattoo is responding.
